Compound Word Pictionary

Sorry for the delay with this one! Yesterday was one of those stressful pre-Christmas days…

The last week before Christmas is traditionally a week of watching fun movies in class or playing games. So as the ‚Drawing A Cartoon‘ exercise went so well (one of my 8th-graders wrote: „It was so much fun that I’ll play it with my friends, but in German 😊), I decided to include another drawing game and so I came up with an adaptation of pictionary working with compound words.

You’ll find the rules and a couple of compound word lists attached. I don’t have many beginner groups, so the words might be a little challenging. But you can always create your own word lists. And of course you may also adapt the rules as well.

My students really enjoyed it! Have fun with it and let me know how it went!
